Windswept, after being dropped off at the Beach Club from the Andara yacht 'Celebrity' after an intimate lunch with pals and a 5 hour joy ride around the Phuket Island.
The day before we went to a private dinner party at one of the Andara five star hotel in Phuket to celebrate our new artists friends new exhibition with a delicious six course meal with a different wine with each course, inspired by the art work that was brought out during each course. While there a good friend of my sister-in-laws, Daniel, the General Manager asked if we'd like to have a ride out on the Andara Yacht around the coast line, as it's doing something in the super yacht regatta this weekend. We all jumped at the chance and were fully prepared for when the car picked us up.
The Yacht is an amazing 35 meter creation with many decks and a crew of over ten, we were happilly seated at the top deck with a constant replenishing refreshments and canapes to keep us happy until our lunch was served. The scenery around the coast line is breathtaking and fortunately it wasn't too hot, sunny and bright, perfect. The joyride took us to the Andara Beach club where freshly free poured Mojitos were served as the heavens opened and refreshed and soaked us, but this did not spoil our fun, a team of staff arrived with umbrellas and towels. The service at these five star resorts is amazing. I've been used to those dreary conference hotels with uniform interiors and dull soulness feel about them. This trip has truely opened my eyes to travelling with style, so long as your budget reaches the expectations. Fortunately the family connection has helped out on this excursion, and oh boy do they know how to do it well!
All in all this month in Thailand is a great end to our one year honeymoon, we're finishing it with a fitting crescendo, and back living married life in Manchester. Although I am completely loving this experience and don't want it to end I am looking forward to living in Chorlton, getting roots down and getting into a regular domestic routine.... I must be getting old! lol
